Free website audit
A strategic audit of your website, in plain English.
Bizdify reviews your site the way a prospective customer, a search engine and an AI assistant each see it, then sends you a written report setting out what we found and what to put right first. It is built for small and medium service businesses, and it is written to be read by the owner, not by a developer.
The audit is based on what is publicly visible from outside your site. We do not log in to anything, and we tell you in the report exactly what we looked at.

The problem
An underperforming website fails quietly.
Nothing tells you when someone lands on your site, cannot find what they came for, and leaves. Nothing tells you when a search engine skips a page, or when an AI assistant describes your business to a customer and gets it wrong. The enquiries simply do not arrive, and there is no obvious reason why.
A site can look perfectly fine and still be losing work. The gap is rarely mysterious. It is just invisible until somebody goes looking for it properly.
Nothing raises its hand
A visitor who cannot find your phone number does not send you a note about it. They go back to the search results and try the next business.
Analytics tell you what, not why
You can see that traffic is flat or that a page has a high bounce rate. What you cannot see from a dashboard is the reason, or which change would matter most.
The list is never ordered
Advice tends to arrive as a pile of things you could do. Without an order, the small jobs get done and the ones holding the site back stay where they are.
What we check
Four questions, about twenty sections
The report itself runs to roughly twelve to fourteen pages and works through about twenty areas. Grouped together, they come down to four questions about your website. Open any theme to see the sections it contains.
Findability
Can people and search engines find you?
Whether your site can be crawled, understood and matched to what your customers are actually searching for.
What this covers in the report
- Technical SEO: how the site is built, served and structured underneath.
- On-page SEO: titles, headings, and whether each page is clearly about one thing.
- Content and site architecture: what you cover, what is missing, and how it all fits together.
- Local presence and reputation signals, as they appear on your website.
- A Google Business Profile check, where you supply the link. We confirm the listing exists and matches your business.
Conversion
Does the site turn visitors into enquiries?
What a first-time visitor experiences, and where the path from interest to contacting you breaks down.
What this covers in the report
- Website quality and user experience: what works, what gets in the way.
- Conversion analysis: how clearly the site asks for the enquiry, and how easy it is to act on.
- Suggested on-site messaging lines you could use, written for your business rather than for a template.
Brand
Does the site sound like you, or like anyone?
Whether a stranger reading your site could say what makes you different from the next business in your trade.
What this covers in the report
- Business identity and positioning, including a suggested positioning line.
- A brand audit: what is genuinely distinctive, what is generic, and what a competitor could copy tomorrow.
- Competitive differentiation: what you are claiming that everyone else is also claiming.
AI visibility
Can AI answer engines read and quote you?
How well your site can be read, quoted and cited by AI answer engines.
What this covers in the report
- How readable your pages are to systems that parse rather than browse.
- Whether the site states plainly what you do, where you do it and who for.
- What would make your business clearer to those systems. This is covered in more depth further down the page.
What the audit is based on
Everything in the report comes from what is publicly visible from outside your site. We do not log in to your website, your hosting or your analytics to produce it, and the report states plainly what was and was not accessed.
Where you supply a Google Business Profile link, we confirm the listing exists and matches your business. We do not access its contents. We would rather tell you the edges of what we checked than hand you a confident report about things nobody looked at.
What you get
A written report, not a dashboard login
The deliverable is a branded PDF of roughly twelve to fourteen pages. It is yours to keep, to forward to whoever maintains your site, and to work through at your own pace.
It is written to be understood by the business owner. Where something technical has to be named, it is explained in the same sentence.

Basis of this audit
This report is based on a review of the Harbourline Electrical public website as it appeared on the date of the audit, and reflects what is visible on the site itself. Where a Google Business Profile link was supplied, we confirm the listing exists and matches the business. We do not access the contents of that profile, and we do not log in to the website, its hosting or its analytics.
1. Executive summary
Harbourline Electrical reads as an established local contractor, and the home page states the service area plainly enough that a first-time visitor knows they are in the right place. Underneath that, the pages carry no meta descriptions and no structured data, the phone number is not a tappable link on a mobile, and the licence and accreditation details that separate this business from the next one are not written anywhere a search engine or an AI assistant can read them.

2. Business identity & positioning
Harbourline Electrical is a Wollongong based electrical contractor working across the Illawarra, covering residential switchboard and rewiring work, strata maintenance, and small commercial fitouts. The site names the suburbs it serves, but the licence number, the insurer and the trade accreditations appear only inside an image on the about page, where no crawler can read them.
“Licensed Wollongong electricians for homes, strata and small commercial sites across the Illawarra.”
Format
- Deliverable
- Branded PDF
- Length
- About 12–14 pages
- Scored areas
- Six, out of 10
- Prioritised actions
- Four lists of five
A statement of what it was based on
What was accessed, what was not, and the date it was run. This sits at the front, not buried at the back.
Six scores out of ten
Overall, Brand, SEO, Conversion, Maps and AI visibility, so you can see at a glance where the site is strong and where it is not.
An executive summary
The whole picture in plain English, for the person who has ten minutes rather than an afternoon.
The single biggest missed opportunity
One thing, named specifically. Not a list of twenty equally weighted suggestions.
Four prioritised lists of five
Urgent fixes, SEO opportunities, conversion improvements and brand improvements, each capped at five so the list stays usable.
Suggested messaging lines
Wording you could actually put on the site, including a suggested positioning line for the business.
A priority order
What to fix first, what to do then, and what can wait until later.
Terms of engagement
What the audit is, what it is not, and what happens next if you want the problems fixed.
AI visibility
Can an AI assistant describe your business correctly?
When someone asks an AI assistant for a plumber in Geelong, a podiatrist in Toowoomba or a locksmith in Leeds, the answer is assembled from what those systems can read and understand. If your site is hard to parse, or never says plainly what you do and where you do it, your business is less likely to be described accurately when it comes up at all.
What the audit examines
- How readable your pages are to systems that parse text rather than browse a layout.
- Whether the site states clearly what your business does, where it operates and who it is for, in a form a machine can lift.
- Whether the claims on your site are specific enough to be worth quoting, or so generic that any competitor could have written them.
- What to change, in the same prioritised format as the rest of the report.
Answer engines considered
- ChatGPT
- Gemini
- Perplexity
- Google's AI Overviews
What we will not claim
We will not tell you that a change guarantees a citation, a star rating, or a place in an AI-generated answer. Nobody can honestly promise that. Google does not document a structured-data route into its AI surfaces, and the assistants do not publish how they pick their sources.
What we can do is make sure your site states clearly and specifically what your business does, for whom, and where, in a form machines can read. That is within your control, and it is what the audit measures.
Request a free auditHow it works
From audit to a website that has been put right
The audit stands on its own, and plenty of people take the report and act on it themselves. If you would rather we did the work, this is the path, and this is the only point at which we commit to a date.
Audit
The audit is free. You receive the report with no price attached to it and no delivery timeframe attached to it, and no obligation to do anything with what it says.
Classify
We classify your site as Standard, Complex or Rebuild, based on what the audit actually found rather than on a package you picked off a page.
Quote
You receive pricing: either the fixes as a one-off piece of work, or the work packaged together with an ongoing SEO subscription. You choose, or you choose neither.
Technical health check
After sign-up, and once you have given us access, we review the site from the inside. Within three working days you receive a confirmed delivery window and the final list of items we will implement.
Go
Work starts, and the delivery window runs from that point.
You stay the owner of your website, your accounts, your content and your data at every stage, whether or not you go past step one.
What we need
What we will need from you, and when
Nothing at all for the audit itself. It is produced from what is publicly visible, so you do not hand over a single password to find out where you stand.
Access only comes up at step four, after you have seen the report, seen the quote and decided to go ahead. We are listing it here so it is not a surprise at the point where surprises are expensive.
You remain the owner of all accounts, content and data at every stage. Access is granted to do agreed work, and it can be withdrawn.
Administrator access to the website
Enough to change the things the audit identified, whether that is WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or something custom.
Access to the hosting account
Some fixes live below the site itself, in how it is served rather than in what it says.
Access to connected accounts the work touches
Typically the domain registrar, Google Business Profile and analytics. We ask for what the agreed work needs, and not for anything beyond it.
A dedicated Bizdify user account, wherever possible
Rather than sharing your own password. It is easier to audit, easier to revoke, and it means your personal credentials never change hands.
FAQ
The questions we actually get asked
If yours is not here, ask it in the request form and we will answer it before anything goes ahead.
What does it cost?
The audit is free. There is nothing to pay for it, and there are no conditions attached to it.
We do not publish prices for the repair work on this page, because what it costs depends on what the audit finds. That is the reason the quote comes after the audit rather than before it: you see the problem described in writing, and then you see what it would take to put right.
Do I have to buy the fixes?
No. The report is yours either way. Some people hand it to whoever already maintains their site, some work through it themselves, and some ask us to quote. Declining the quote does not cost you the report, and we do not chase you for a decision.
Do you need my passwords?
Not for the audit. It is produced entirely from what is publicly visible from outside your site, so there is nothing to hand over to find out where you stand.
If you decide to go ahead with the work, access comes up at step four. Wherever it is possible, we ask you to create a dedicated Bizdify user account on each system rather than share your own password, so you can see exactly what we have access to and remove it whenever you like.
What if my site is on Wix or Squarespace?
That is fine. The audit looks at your site as it is published, so the platform it was built on does not limit what we can review, and a hosted site builder is not a mark against you.
The platform does affect what can be changed later and how, which is part of what the classification at step two is for. If something is genuinely not possible on your current platform, the report says so rather than recommending it anyway.
How is this different from an automated SEO tool?
An automated tool grades a handful of technical signals and emails you a score. It does not read your site, and it cannot tell you whether your positioning is generic or whether your enquiry path makes sense.
This audit runs deterministic checks and then produces a written analysis on top of them, covering brand, conversion and AI visibility alongside the technical findings. It states what was and was not accessed, it names the single biggest missed opportunity, and it puts the recommendations in an order. It is also produced for your business specifically rather than assembled from a template.
What happens to the details I put in the form?
We use them to prepare and send your audit, and to reply to you about it. Your contact details are stored in our CRM so the person who answers you can see the history of the conversation.
Our Privacy policy sets out how we handle personal information.
Request an audit
Four details, and we will take it from there
Tell us where to look and where to send the report. The audit is free, and you are not signing up to anything by asking.
- No passwords or account access needed to request the audit.
- No obligation to buy anything afterwards.
- If your Google Business Profile link would help, add it when we reply.
